Returns Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Right of withdrawal
Under Portuguese law (Decree-Law No. 84/2021 transposing the EU Consumer Rights Directive), you have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of receiving the product, without giving any reason.
2. How to request a return
To exercise your right of withdrawal, send a clear statement by email to geral@relationallab.pt within the 14-day period, including:
- Your full name and the email address used for the order
- Order reference (if available)
- Book(s) you wish to return
- Reason for the return (optional, but helps us improve)
Once we confirm the return, please send back the book(s) in good condition and appropriate packaging. You have 14 days from notifying us to return the items.
3. Condition of returned items
Books must be returned in the same condition in which they were received — free from marks, tears or damage. If the value of the item has diminished due to handling beyond what is necessary to assess its characteristics, we may deduct that amount from the refund.
4. Return shipping costs
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in the case of a defective product or an error in the order on our part, in which case Relational Lab covers the return shipping costs.
5. Refund
Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will process a refund of the amount paid (including original shipping costs, if applicable) within a maximum of 14 days. The refund always corresponds to the amount actually paid, including any discounts applied at the time of purchase. As Relational Lab processes payments manually, refunds will be made by bank transfer or another method agreed with the customer.
6. Items not subject to return
The right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content (such as PDF notebooks) supplied on an intangible medium, where delivery has begun with the consumer's prior express consent.
7. Defective or incorrect product
If you receive a defective product or one that differs from what you ordered, please contact us immediately at geral@relationallab.pt. In this case, Relational Lab covers all return shipping costs and will arrange a replacement or full refund.
8. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
In the event of a consumer dispute, you may have recourse to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entities. In Portugal, the main entities are:
- CNIACC — National Centre for Consumer Dispute Information and Arbitration
- Lisbon Consumer Disputes Arbitration Centre
You may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
9. Contact
For any questions about returns, contact us at geral@relationallab.pt. We respond on business days.
